With all the security issues and the Zero day vulnerabilities with Microsoft , the Microsoft users have been living in fear. And it was high time that Microsoft released some patches. And finally they have done that. Some of the issues are rated critical and if you haven't patched your system go here and do it.
Also check out this handler's diary which gives you an idea about whether there is any know exploits for any vulnerabilities.
But there are still no patches for the recent Word security issues. Just 5 days after the first Word security issue appeared on the horizon another one raised it's ugly head and for now it seems the users have to live with it and the only way to stay safe from the Word security problem is by excercising extreme caution before opening any Word documents. It is recommended not to open Word files coming from untrusted sources or unexpected files coming from trusted sources.
