Opera brings browser for the Wii world.
December 21st 2006 12:16
On friday (Dec.22) Opera's free Beta version of it's browser for the Nintendo's Wii users will be available. The browser can be downloaded by the Wii owners who who are connected and who have activated the Wii shop channel and be connected to the net. The beta version which is an extented free trial will last through May 2007. After that the users will be charged US $ 5. The browser will allow the users to have a simple navigation on the net.
However after the trial period is over, paying for the browser is not going down well already. In these days when browsers and plugins are available free for everyone, people have started asking why Wii users should be given a different treatment.
It was just about two days back Opera launched it's latest browser ver 9.1 for the Netizens which is loaded with so many features especially the real-time anti-fraud feature. And now within two days of that they are launching the browser for the Wii users. It seems the Opera guys literally believe in the words by Thomas Alva Edison.. "Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration"
