TOPFIELD Personal Video Recorder

Time to dump your VCR and embrace the company of this great utility. Everyone loves to watch TV (even though people who admit it has become a rare species) and wouldn't it be just wonderful to have an utility that lets you pause/rewind live TV, record two channels simultaneously.
The twin tuners can be used to record two programmes simultaneously, or record one and watch another, or watch two as a ‘picture-in-picture’ arrangement. Under certain circumstances, it can even record two programmes and still let you watch another.
Using the Topfield's Idiot-proof timer you can even link an entire series. Just control some buttons and this PVR will record the entire series for you and you won't miss a single dialogue. Moreover the USB 2.0 port lets you connect to your PC and thus you can even burn your fav progs to a DVD. Are you already suspicious? Then believe it or not there is more..the USB feature lets you put all your mp3 files onto the PVR and you can just hide your cd's away from those compulsive CD borrowers.
And yes, Topfield is even Top-Up TV compatible, so you can pay for extra channels on top of the existing free-to-view Freeview channels.
It has 160 GB hard drive which is equivalent to 88 hrs of TV time.
Topfield's operating system supports third party applications (called "TAPs"). This means you can write or download TAPs to customise or add functionality to your Topfield. I don't know how many PVRs out there supports third party applications but Topfield does and that means that you can get a lot of upgrades from those benevolent software junkies sweating it out there.
The place any PVR owner should visit is toppy.org.uk. This place provides you with a lot of useful dowloads for your PVR's and PC's.
Yeah I know that there are many PVRs out there like Humax, Pace, Digifusion, Thomson etc:- . But this one from what you can make out of the unique features it offers is simply at top of it's field like it's name suggests.
Price approx. USD 500.
