YahooMessenger users advised to upgrade to 8.1

There is a major security flaw that has been detected in all Yahoo Messenger versions that have been dowloaded before Nov.2, 2006. This is an active X flaw and it could lead to problems right from your machine or browser crashing to opening back doors for malicious attackers to take control of your machine.

Secunia the security firm reported this just almost a day ago. Yahoo advises all the users to upgrade the Messenger to the latest version which is 8.1
